Most of the bank revetments are private property. In the past decades several suburbs of Rotterdam discharged their waste water in the Bergse Plassen, contaminating the bed material. The Hoogheemraadschap of Schieland (a regional waterboard) has dredged the Bergse Plassen.\r\n\r\nSva\u0161ek Hydraulics has surveyed the post dredged technical condition of all the bank revetments in the Bergse Plassen. These technical conditions were recorded by photograph and described by the surveyor. Obstacles and cables were located by GPS and recorded.
