In 2016 Floris graduated his MSc study Hydraulic Engineering at Delft University of Technology. Subsequently, he started a PhD at the same university (expected defense in 2021), focussing on predicting and modelling the nonlinear wave shape in complex coastal systems with the eventual goal to improve wave-induced sediment transport. During this period he has been involved in the further development of the wave models <a href=\"https:\/\/www.svasek.nl\/en\/model-research\/swan\/\">SWAN<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.svasek.nl\/en\/model-research\/swash\/\">SWASH<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As per April 16, 2021, Floris de Wit joins Sva\u0161ek Hydraulics.
