We are delighted to welcome Marlein Geraeds (MSc.) to our team as a Project Engineer!<\/p>\n
Marlein graduated in Hydraulic Engineering from Delft University of Technology in 2020. During her graduation project, carried out in collaboration with the Port of Rotterdam Authority, she gained her first experience in modelling hydrodynamics and salinity. After a short period working at the Port of Rotterdam Authority, she started a PhD programme at Delft University of Technology in January 2021.<\/p>\n
Her PhD research focused on modelling and understanding salt intrusion processes in the Rhine\u2013Meuse estuary, through which she developed in-depth system knowledge and extensive experience with D-FLOW Flexible Mesh. She contributed to the development of several hydrodynamic models and specialised in setting up post-processing tools for large-scale, larger-than-memory model output.<\/p>\n
