Barbara Kéri has been awarded the Emil Mosonyi award for her Master’s Thesis.

Barbara Kéri (Budapest University) has been awarded the Emil Mosonyi award for her Master’s Thesis: “The effect of navigation on the flow in a river trained with groynes”. The thesis, for which she worked at Svašek Hydraulics during the second part of 2011, includes numerical simulations with FINEL2D.

The Mosonyi award is given out by the Hungarian Hydrological Society for outstanding work in river regulation, flood control, water use, water management and/or hydro-power.

Barbara is currently working at via donau - Austrian Waterway Administration as project manager of NEWADA duo, which is supporting the waterway management authorities along the Danube in achieving a common level of service in waterway management.
